Hi guys/girls,
We have lost all comms with the engine control unit on our Seat Ibiza.
It all started with an internal fault in the ABS module. The fault was 01201 - ABS pump supply voltage. we ran diagnostics and checked the loom and all was fine there, including supply voltages, so it was clear that there as a problem with the ABS module. We then sent the module away for repair which we had done many times without many issues. When the module came back we plugged it in and the fault was still present. However, this time we have no communication with the ECU at all. The battery was disconnected every time a module was unplugged/plugged in. We have checked the loom at the ECU, ABS module and between the two and everything looks as it should be.
We contacted the company who done the repair and we sent the pump back. They then said the pump wasn't repairable so we had to have a new one. We explained that there was no issues with ECU comms before the pump repair and after a few conversations with them, they supplied another recon pump free of charge.
The recon unit has been fitted and coded this morning as we would usually do but we still aren't able to communicate with the ECU. Is it possible that a faulty repair on the last unit has killed the ECU?
