Hi i have coded the injectors the cayc engine has alot of problems when you swap injectors over thats why i wanted to do the injector quantity adaption the smoke has now stopped as took it out for a couple of hours tonight just a a bit of diesel knock at low revs thanks for replyMy understanding is there is a code on each injector that is its basic setting that needs to be input via VCDS. The ECU then adjusts the injection quantity up or down from this base setting based on the sensors data. You need to look at this adjustment value as any large deviations can indicate an injector problem.
White smoke is generally a sign of a leaking injector(s) allowing fuel continually into the cylinder(s). Injector reconditioning and testing appears to not be very reliable at detecting or fixing this leakage for what ever reason.
