@robh_tdi_gti : maybe ENG174381-MAS07991-light_control-Comfort flasher set point on the BCM (default value =3)

On earlier model Golfs (MQB platform cars) - it was also necessary to use the factory reset function on the MIB to "activate" the change after the coding modification was completed. I'm not sure if the mk8 (MQB-evo platform cars) have the same requirement

3 is good I think
on motor way when you do quick lane change - 5 ... is too much
you will be already on other line ...and indicator still blinking
think about that
unless you are grandpa driver and need more time / never drive fast

I could not activate the line of code in my 2021 Caddy. https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/30309/#post-254265
@OwnerTR: Just read your link. Did you ever resolve the matter of the WSC? I've not heard of WSC being a problem with SFD cars on another diagnostic device that I use - so I wonder if it's peculiar to VCDS?

I have never really understood the value of WSCs to VAG given that they can be so easily by-passed and I might be very wrong in my hypothesis ( more than happy to be corrected if I am) - but in principle, why is a WSC needed at all under SFD protocols? Seems to me that any valuable intelligence from a WSC (if any) is already provided to VAG by the process needed to get a SFD token

thank you DV52 ENG174381-MAS07991-light_control-Comfort flasher set point on the BCM (default value =3) was correct.
However it wanted shop codes so i used the default (12345 123 12345) unfortunately that didnt work.

granted but if you put them on earlier, then 4 or 5 is good... grandpa maybe driving the car in the other lane.

@robh_tdi_gti : Bummer!!!

I repeat again (tautology intentional for emphasis) - why would a SFD encrusted BCM need a WSC to allow access to change an adaptation channel when you have used a token? Seems totally superfluous to me to require 2 x separate mechanisms to provide ostensibly the same information (but then I'm an amateur at this stuff!!)

Of course I make 2 x assumptions about this car (because no auto-scan has been provided):
  • Access to the BCM is protected by SFD
  • you have used a bone-fide SFD token to open the module
