Golf 7 2014 ACC/CAM upgrade

There where so many dtc's after this retrofit... To get rid of the A5 dtc, a 4.5h flash was needed so it could be PSD1.5 compatible with 5F (used vcp instead of odis )..

I used odis online to remove cp, but it didn't remove cp on 47, guess odis couldn't find it?
In previous scan there was no address 47, so it came with 5F.
The dataset on 5F is just me trying everything, guess I have to find dataset for dynaudio (only tried the 5NA golf one).
With cp on amplifier, there should be sound from left speaker (if everything is OK).
But it seems like Mib2.5 uses different amp then Mib2, or is it just lower output on Mib2.5?
Will try dataset EV_MUHig4CGen2HBAS which also is what my mib1 disco pro has..
Might as well start browsing for a new amplifier, as watching the radio is boring

You need correct dataset for 5F to support dynaudio and proper coding to it.
You need a new amp, mib1 amp is not compatible with mib2/2.5. So better start looking for it already.

Got music from left speaker, but only once.. Done/tried 1000 combinations, so don't remember what was the last piece...

Got the 5F wrong softcode dtc removed, but the dataset "name" never changed...

Don't really know what these mean or what they do, but this in combination with some other things made sound, until I turned off ignition, closed the door and locked.. Then back to silence..

After changing softcode on 5f I check softboot and sometimes vcds shuts down, so I will install latest update before I do/post another scan..

The 5Q0 035 456 is 200eur and 5Q0 035 456 A is 600eur used, any reason to get A?

You need to add Sound system to your gateway installation list. It's not there, that's why it's complaining about not registered.

Also 47 has component protection still active which shuts the sound output down from it. However, it's still a MIB1 amp which does not work with MIB2/2.5.

Address 47 is not to be activated in gateway'S installation list, throws other DTC's when it is. 47 is sub of 5F.

Hmmm, not sure that's correct. I had Dynaudio on my Tiguan and that was direct connection to 47. It was not a sub system of 5F. The 5F is connected to the amp via MOST bus but that's a data connection, the amp also had CAN connection to gateway.

Tiguan had originally Composition media MIB2.5 unit which I swapped to Discover Media MIB2.5 unit.

Make sure it's A you need and not without index. The amps are different with and without index and you cannot mix them.

Edit :

Just checked the amps. Without index is till 2017 cars and index A is post 2017 cars. So with index A is probably what you need to have. Your 5F unit is from 2018 and onwards and installed at least to Tiguans. And it's a Harman unit if I'm not mistaken.

Having trouble entering FEC to ACC..
The public key 9C 47 73 is correct on my ACC with SW X on it.

But how do I enter these FEC´s?

Tried by entering (EOL and Login 20103) 10 00 90 08 in adaption and (with VCRN from 5F, can´t find it in 13?) unlock code 11 02 10 00 90 08 03 03 .. .. .. in basic settings and vice versa.
Tried unlock code in adaption and basic settings aswell. Also tried all unlock codes at once.
Why does the FEC code generator give me 1102100090080303...... instead of 11 02 10 00 90 08 03 03 .. .. ..?

You have incorrect VCRN. ACC has it in individualization characteristics. And you need to input all 4 FeCs at once.

Put back the old radar and CP kicked in.. Have 24h odis to solve that..

Trying all and everything to get the gateway onboard again, not charging.. If not able to fix it, I`ll put the old one back.. That AA update made a mess..

Possible to get a SVM code for this gateway?

Well the gateway says EV, so I guess that is why it doesn´t charge..
Could only activate CC and fatigue detection, as the old gateway had those.

Yes, only FeCs you had in your original gateway can be added to the new one.
Also online parameterization etc is doable for your original gateway or direct replacement. Nothing else.
The charge problem is most likely due incorrect dataset in the gateway.

Why do you say it’s toast? That’s correct how later indexes show the alternator.

What exactly is the problem with the new gateway?

Have you parameterized the gateway with what parameters? My guess would be that you have incorrect dataset alternator part.

Yes. Could be. Dataset contains three parts. Basic params, EASS and alternator data.
It is not enough that you have dataset with right part number. It could have alternator data for 140A or 180A alternators (could be others, but these two I know for certain). Those VCP params, who knows what they contain
