Are you sure it's not a faulty ABS control module?

I know it's supposed to be brand new but that doesn't mean to say you haven't inadvertently ended up with a lemon.

Hey Wolfgang!! Apparently the function test is a test automatically activated by the abs module to check all sensors....the issue is that this test can only be deactivated by driving with your steering at a certain angle at a certain speed...this test has to be initiated by pressing hard down on your brake pedal...when i tramp the pedal the abs and traction control lights should change the wat they flash...mine doesnt..so i cant even initiate the procedure ..jack i will definitely get those screenshots up asap...u are talking about the basic setting of each seperate sensor right(steering angle, brake pressure sensor etc?)

Right, the ESP System function test is normal and should be completed naturally while driving after that 00003 DTC is resolved.. but you can turn it off via BS 103 so the 025 and 026 theory can be ruled out. Either way, you would want to re-enable the function test in BS 093 so the normal procedure can be completed before returning it to the customer.

Screen shots couldn't hurt. If the pump temp is excessive it will go to Error but running a fan the entire time with the vehicle outside (on a cold day if possible) should help.

NO! You started this test-function before starting the basic settings.

This is the longitudinal acceleration sensor.but i can confirm that my own perfectly working 09 mk5 does the exact same thing

Hi Shafo,
...:confused:basic setting 025 still not working correctly...

Keep cool, try it again, 025 , BS, activate brake pedal slowly to specified value, hold it and ABS_ECU will learn this. Keep cool and relaxed, it will take some time,
longer as any other basic settings. If ECU had learned the value VCDS goes automatically to the next value.
Then, when BS 025 is done, you have to go to BS 026.

And..... 069 Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor (G251) is not ever mounted, belongs for example to EPB.

I haven't watched the video you posted yet but I agree with Wolfgang, that particular MK60EC1 calibration is miserable. When you get 025 to complete ([000/000]>000< Calibrated) make sure you click [ON/OFF/Next] and do NOT go back into that group. Resume in group 026 and ... when that completes you may have to exit the controller, shut the engine off, turn the ignition back on and clear the DTC if it doesn't clear automatically.

Did you see our video yet? http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/VW_Golf_(1K)_Brake_Electronics_(MK60EC1)#Video_Link

Edit; I played your video and ours (Jef's actually, I can't take credit for those legs ;-) side by side and see that your controller repeated 116/129 for example before moving to 046/053. Are letting the pedal go to the floor and then letting off of it completely with each test value?

Yep i let the pedal go down as much as i can while maintaining the pressure, feel/hear the click and then let go of the pedal altogether when request value becomes 0.. one thing im NOT sure about is how low the pedal should go ...i can confirm my pedal does drop but it definitely doesnt go all the way down to the lowest point...
Wolfgang im going to take some calm meds before i give it another attempt hahahahaha

OKAY STOP!

Check Brake light switch for possible problem or replace it.
Not so common on later stuff but it does still happen to be made out of straw and human feces

Right, I was beginning to wonder if G201 / pressure sensor could be faulty or conflicting .. which would be nearly identical to a brake light switch concern.
