Okay so starting to answer some questions... they are RGB. And I guess since you can change the colors we know you have them connected to LIN bus.
In the process of doing this retrofit, i have found that the info you posted above is not a 100% rule. I even have a pretty unorganized spreadsheet where I was testing the various LEDs I have on hand to see what group they belong to and how they can be assigned.
For example, 8W047355 K + L are Group_01 as you mention. But they can be assigned as door, middle console, instrument panel, or speaker. With any of those assignments the lights work and they respond to the "sun" for that zone.
I don't know when/if I will ever find or allocate the time continue testing but I have in my garage some of the part numbers you mentioned. I did not know what group all of them belonged to. But based on the info you provided, I can narrow down my testing to just seeing what zones they can be assigned to. Previously I would have to go through and figure out the groups first.
I have not been able to find a description for the error channels anywhere and I don't have any interest in testing it. But since you can assign a given group to a number of different zones I figured it was more simple (on a car that does not have RGB OEM) is to just disable all of the error channels. I will know if one of my RGB LEDs is not working.
If you have LEDs with no letter at the end of the part number you could disable all the groups then re-enable and one at a time to confirm their GROUP. And then you would have to assign that group to something (door for example) and that would be the only place you could install those LEDs.
