I'm still getting the initial setup finalized, but here goes with doing things backwards! A full auto-scan:
The primary reason I bought in to this was to get some old keys deleted from the car, but I guess that's not really what I should be worried about! And it seems I need a PIN to deal with that, but I'm PIN-less at this point so I guess that can wait for another day
The car has a number of things that need work, and I had only known about a couple items the scan is listing. I knew about the turbo boost going negative, and the glow plug heater circuit. All the rest is new territory for me
The combo coolant temp sensor seems to have a bad connection at the harness connector, still haven't sprayed some contact cleaner in that. The dash gauge stops working at times, but after unplugging & plugging it back in, was 'fixed' for a while
Every now & then, the brakes make a really bad grinding noise and the pedal feels like a bucket of gravel went through the caliper
And my most favorite problem, the turbo never gets past 2.8lbs most days. But on random cold starts, will jump to 10 lbs in 2nd & 3rd. I do wish it would always hit 10 lbs everytime I floor the car. I'm thinking there's probably a ton of gunk in the works that needs to get cleaned out the hard way
However, if anybody knows what it takes to shut down the radio for the key fob remotes, I'd like to look into that at some point. Thanks!
