As per Uwe' s advice i' ve been using the VCDS in Beta mode ( had few issues in Rrelease ).
Would like to report that it is working very good so far, no issues.
Is it the autoscan a LOT faster in Beta or is it just me ? It seems that it is flying through all modules :)

I think that part is just you. :)

Of course the current interfaces (HEX-NET and HEX-V2) are a lot faster on modern cars that use CAN (as opposed to K-Lines) than the HEX+CAN you were previously using.
