Thats a shame.

I am just looking through my 09 module from my 22 Caddy and i have found the adaptation, however i am just wondering if there is also a menu setting somewhere buried in the adaptations as i seem to remember a Golf 7.5 i had, had the option to turn comfort flashing on and off, and also select how many times.

Having said that, i may not be remembering correctly!

When you have time, would you post up an admap of your 09 module please?
Jason: Hi

If your question is about mirror-tilt-on-reverse, then as intimated earlier - it's fundamentally a question about whether the mirror module has a memory (not a seat-memory module in the BCM -but rather, memory in the hex52 module).

Of course you are free to pursue whatever other option you might consider worthy - but as a base requirement, mirror tilt won't work successfully (and in lots of cases, won't work at all) without memory because there is no facility to hold the mirror's starting co-ordinates for mirror return.

So, purely as a suggestion and before you pursue other options - try these values on your passenger side mirror (enter "mirror" into the search box on the upper RHS):

If the values are as shown above - don't bother with this tweak because your passenger side mirror module is dumb!!

However, if your results are like this:

Then a mirror memory module is fitted !! Note: the X/Y coordinate values can be different to those shown in my picture (it depends on the mirror position) - but the values can't be 255!

Thanks Don.

Must admit i haven't looked at that, this was more about being able to change some basic functionality which, even with SFD access does not seem to work on newer modules as far as i am aware.

My 09 module has a different SW & HW number to Owner TR (although mine is 2022 model), although the ad map seems to contain many of the same, although i think his vehicle is a people carrier rather than mine which is a van with no rear seats.

It does appear that VW are really stamping down hard on third party diagnostic equipment at the moment, and are hard coding a lot of functions regardless of adaptation listing.

I only have my 09 admap for now which i will post in the other thread and i'll do the rest when i get time later.

That looks really good in that colour!

Can you do me a favour when you get time?

Could you take a picture of your rain & light sensor through the windscreen and post it up?

I am trying to locate the correct one but the only one i can find with your part number also says i may need to replace the windscreen as well!

This is mine currently..

The circle at the bottom of the image looks like it has a blank installed where the rain sensing part should go.

Cheers

I've added two pictures as it's not clear.

Looks like it’s two sensors in the round part and the screen looks the same as mine so should be ok.

Thanks!

I colored the cockpit a little by doing the ambient lighting. Did you do it?

Ooooooooo how did you do that??
Since Caddy 5 and Golf 8 infrastructure are the same, I examined the Golf 8 codes and made it.
This is the video I took

Forgot about this but when i tried to change the comfort flashers with the 'other' diag tool, i only had the option of 1-3.
