2015 VW Golf door lock issue

Hello everyone . I'm asking for help with a problem I encountered yesterday on a 2015 VW Golf Sedan (VIN 3VW217AU1FM008773). The customer's complaint is that the doors cannot be locked with the remote control or key fob. Others functions of the remote works well (unlocking, trunk and alarm). With a key fob tester, I checked and the remote gives a 315MHZ signal when I press the lock and unlock button. The 09 Central Electrics module manages the electric doors and some data shows that the module reacts when I press the lock and the unlock button. The dashboard displays the opening and closing of all doors and the overhead light (dome) also turns on and off with the doors. I don't believe the module (Central Electrics) is defective. I think a door signal is missing or wrong at this module but I can't find which one.

Any help will be appreciated.

@Crasher: very true - but how about the DTC on the hex2B module being implicated in the problem? If the steering lock module isn't sending the correct "position" message to the CAN network - wouldn't this stop the doors from locking? I'm guessing of course!

I've checked the long-code string with another Yankee hex2B module in my MQB database and it looks OK - so possible cause elsewhere?

And the freeze frame data is interesting too - what is "Voltage: 6D"? Hex6D = decimal 109 - Shirley not?

If it is a lock then it’s likely to be the driver’s door. However I’m intrigued as to the 2b error. Get yourself a V2 cable and scan again.

This sounds a lot like my old Mk6 notes for the PQ35 BCM at the bottom of:

I also checked 05, 09, 42/52, 2B, etc and didn't see coding issues. 16 OTOH is NOT coded correctly and that's likely why the ESCL is pointing us to a SWCM / Park position conflict. I suggested coding 16 to: 0410

OK, can we see another scan after clearing faults to see if there are any other clues?

Also, I double checked and that 16 module was a different part number than one we would have found factory installed for this model year. If you can extract any of the repair (or crash?) details from the customer that may shed the light we need.

Sorry for the delay. I expected many of those Intermittent DTCs to clear but instead, there are more with extremely low FF voltage (10.6 V) and I'm suspicious of this under 08:

If you weren't able to obtain any history on this car I would firstly test the battery to make sure it isn't faulty. If it tests properly get a full charge on it and clear codes again to see if all 7 of them return.

Next, I would rule out the possibility that Transport Mode was turned on. You can do that by following these steps:

Lastly, This may be pointing to an actual problem in 42:

You'll need to pop the painted cap off if the outside of the driver's door handle to test the Key switch functions.

Hello everybody. First of all I would line to thanks everybody who takes time to help me. Finally I replaced the door latch switch. Even if all the checks made at the switches did not show any defect, replacing this part fixed my problem. A special thanks to Jef and Dana at Ross-Tech.
