sorry about t
my first post i was having issues with my computer anyway after my first scan i went into the abs moduleand saw the miscoded module(my first clue that the ecu may not be toast)i ran another autoscan and a bunch of codes went away.so i think my question is about the power train code could that be just a shorted wire?any help is appreciated.

Hi,

There are people anxiously awaiting your Auto-Scan in the original thread. Since both threads are about diagnosing the same vehicle, I don't see the benefit of this spin-off thread, especially when the original thread started to look quite cheerful. I sense a thread merge in the future...

Wishing you quick and easy resolution of your issue

Again Check power and grounds to ECU is first step. Power supply relay to ECU was probably the cause.
Don't see the reason for starting a second post?
I would now check power and grounds to TCU.
Clear codes and see what return.
Good Luck

In First scan There is no communication with Engine computer ECU . You need to check and make sure you getting all 12V and grounds to it before you get other ECU .
It is possible that ECU is bad , but need to be 100% sure not just guess.

IMMO3 and it does the handshake over CAN. Although neither the ECU or instruments are complaining they can't see each other, there must be some corruption on the Powertrain CAN as reported by the numerous ABS communications errors.

Please report the following MVB:

01-ECU:
MVB - 125
MVB - 126

17-Instruments:
MVB - 020
MVB - 021
MVB - 022
MVB - 023
MVB - 024
MVB - 025
MVB - 125
MVB - 126
MVB - 127

When displaying each MVB, click the [Add to Log] and post text here as you do for an Auto-Scan.

I just can’t bring myself to do it, it feels wrong.
Why not . ? Then you could start it just like in the movies :) . Those scenes where they rip off the contact wires on cars made from 2000 and up and they start the cars are cracking me up :). You couldn t start a damn Chevy Aveo like that :)

Especially the size of the sparks those little wires always make in those scenes when they connect them!

If I watch a film that portrays that on a car I know has a factory immobiliser it ruins the film for me; maybe I should get one of these actors to come and get this flippin A4 going!

From what I read about that car, you're making a horror movie (German producers, British actors).
Those usually feature some scantly clad girls, so I'm already picturing that Stasi lady.
