Hi Folks,

Chasing down this age old issue - I still cannot access the "green" menu in MMI.
The reason I want to access the green menu is to change the standby time for when we go to the drive in cinema.

Per the title, I have a 2017 A6 Allroad (C7.5). The MMI unit is a 3G+ (I think) running MHI2_ER_AU57x_P3634

The internet seems to be full of guides to do this, but I still haven't found one that works in my car. A lot of these are based on the old versions of VCDS which describe 5F -> Adaptation 10 -> Channel 06.

As far as I can tell (please correct me if I'm wrong) the green screen is also known as "IDE02112-Developer Mode"

So when I go into VCDS, selecting "5F - Information Electr." and try to activate this, I get "Request out of range" per:

So the question is - Can anyone help me enable the green screen to set the timeout for the radio ?

Just to add to above, I know there are a bunch of posts about this here in these forums too.

I did go into security access, I had to use the 5 digit code "20103" not the 6 digit "S12345" for me.

It seemed to accept the security code, but still not luck setting the adaptation. Here's the log if that helps.

You need to do this in Engineering Session (4F).

Currently there is no label, so there is no S12345 login (which does change the session) available. Basically the label provides this login. You’ll need to do the change the session yourself (E-Mail RT for a "how to") or wait for a label to be implemented.

Thanks for the tip @TBAx

I went digging and found this thread here:

Where `Backspace` suggests renaming one of the existing label files could work.
In the end I copied `...VCDS\Labels\4G1-035-MIB-HGH2.clb` to `...VCDS\Labels\User\4G1-035-052.clb`

Then opening VCDS, 5F -> Security -> S12345 -> Adaptaton-10 -> IDE02112-Developer Mode -> Enabled -> Do It!

With this sorted, I was able to access the Green and Red menus per the Facelift buttons
<Back> + <Top left Silver> = Red "Enginerring" Menu
<Back> + <Bottom left Solver> = Green "Developer" Menu
