Waxing pedantic here: I would guess you're trying to point at category 2) in post #1.

However, based on "VCDS Serial number: HUC-2H" in his profile, @JMR is more likely in category 3). In other words, I believe he has a legitimate HEX+CAN interface that he acquired second-hand.

Yes Uwe , that is correct ! It was acquired from a colleague of mine..he updated to a newer version. My VCDS is up for sale here locally for a measly 200 usdollars , but due to abundance of cloned VCDS around here...it seems that it will take a while until it will find a new owner that wants the real thing.However , i am saving to get a V2 through our local dealer . I will update my profile to reflect the new VCDS serial number when i ll activate it.
On another topic Uwe , I would like a small private conversation with you , how do i go about it ?

Sold my V1 today , will buy brand new brand new brand new Hex Net tomorrow , how do I go about unregistering the old serial and register the new one ?

Since it isn't registered to you to begin with, and the HEX+CAN only has embedded license data, but doesn't store registration data, there's no need or ability to "unregister" it.
