FWIW, I've edited to the first post in this thread to add the change you noticed.

ETA: It's probably changed to this on newer versions of Windows 11:
Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Windows Security -> Device Security -> Core Isolation -> Memory Integrity.

Turn Memory Integrity OFF.
Windows is being stubborn. When I turn off Memory Integrity it prompts me to reboot. Upon reboot it turns Memory Integrity back ON immediately. The driver is always failed so I cannot use the interface at all.
Some web articles are saying it might be "hard coded" by a BIOS setting (Virtualization support) but I'm stuck right now because I don't have the BIOS password :banghead:

Is that a locked-down work PC?

Former work laptop. I got them to remove the password and disabled Intel Virtualization. Memory Integrity options are now gone from the Core isolation settings. I will find out tonight if the interface works.

You know sometimes in life you just have to hold your hands up! I did manage to work out i had not ticked the driver download tab but only when i decided to re install the software, anyway alls well that ends well it is working perfectly.

Thanks for the responses
When I try and select the usb legacy interface option (during software download) it will not allow me to use that option, I have a HEX-USB-CAN interface which worked fine on my old PC, my new one is a Lenovo Yoga slim 7x with snapdragon X elite running widows 11 - any advice would be much appreciated, I have tried the Virtual COM Port Drivers for Ross-Tech USB Interfaces route and also have done the more recent windows security core isolation trick, still nothing :-(

There are no legacy interface drivers for Windows running on an ARM CPU. We stopped selling those interfaces 9 years ago, long before Windows running on an ARM CPU was a thing. You'll either need to get a a PC with an Intel/AMD architecture CPU or upgrade your interface to a current one.

This combination of CPU architecture and a legacy interface...

Knowing that maintaining software is the most expensive part, how difficult or costly would be creating own driver for it? FTDI has ARM driver, but I'm guessing adding own stuff to FTDI plus getting it signed is time consuming? Maybe even code changes for MCU?

It's probably more a question of whether Ross-Tech want to create a driver to prolong the lifespan of a product that was discontinued almost 10 years ago (for use with hardware that didn't even exist at that time!)
