Hi All, question if a VAG module (j519 for example) has CP, yet it accepts a long code but always registers CP as it's only fault could this be the cause of certain issues
like interior lights and dash lights not working?

What are the issues generally associated with CP on a module in a different vehicle? How does a module allow recoding but still limit it's functions - anyone?
Cheers
Rob

Yes, that is exacly how BCM behaves when CP is active on it. Interior lights do not work or burn bright all the time, dash light is blinking etc.

Coding can be done and some adaptations as well but for example on some modules basic settings are blocked until CP is removed. Also no sw updates or calibrations are doable when CP is active.
