Hey Guys,
New user first time posting! So go easy on me. Not overly experienced with vcds, as I just purchased my new Hex Net off Ross Tech to try use via my iPhone 12 in hope of fixing a lot of coding errors on my Vw's. I have watched as many user videos on YouTube as I possibly could before overwhelming myself to get to this point of asking for help. First car I'm really trying to sort out is my 7L 2004 V10 Touareg. Main electrical issues I'm trying to fix at this point or get to the bottom of. Is getting my automatic steering column and automatic seat functions working. Kessy is also not functioning. Rear licence plate lamps not working. parking sensors not working and probably more but these are the main ones I have noticed at the moment. The car will not do a autoscan unless I put it in manual select vehicle mode using my iPhone 12 as that's all I have to work with. When I start a manual scan it only seems to get to about 2% of the scan and wont go any further.
Faults that appear seem to be relating all to the following:
00455 - Control Module for Access and Start Control. 044 No signal/Communication - Intermittent
00457 - Control Module for Network (J519) 044 No signal/Communication - Intermittent
18253 - Please check DTC Memory of Steering Electronics. P1845 - 000 - - - Intermittent
00668 - Supply Voltage Terminal 30. 008 - Implausible signal - Intermittent
00907 - Intervention Load Management. 000 - -
01964 - Control Module for Seat and Steering Column Memory (J136) 044 No signal/Communication
02196 - Fuse for Control Module for Power Supply to Vehicle Battery (S287) 014 - Detective - Intermittent
I honestly have no idea how to fix any of this if I cannot link in and recode any of the address's. If that's even what I am meant to do? Like I said.. I am new to this and Ross Tech and really have no idea on what I can or cant fix/recode, reset modules, reset adaptations. Any help would be really appreciated. Even just trying to get help with more knowledge on how to get my iPhone 12 to communicate better with the Hex Net, as it seems like I am limited on what I can do. Unless I'm just doing something wrong.

I bought the car with all these issues as a project that I am trying to take back to its former glory. I have put two brand new batteries in the vehicle also so they have nothing to do with it!
Thanks in advance fellas!

Faults are rarely caused by coding errors - unless someone has been changing coding the first assumption is that there is a gneuine fault which needs finding and fixing.

Your intermittent no communication errors are usually first investigated by clearing the fault codes and seeing which ones return as it's not uncommon for modules to wake up incorrectly. Having cleared the fault codes, those hich come back are the genuine ones that need investigating and fixing.

It would be really helpful if you could find a Windows laptop to install VCDS on and do an Auto-Scan with the HEX-NET connected by USB, then post the Auto-Scan here?

Hey mate, thanks for the reply!
Yeah I'll see if I can get my old laptop working to see if it's gonna do the job? I haven't used my laptop in probably 10 years. So I would assume it's only gonna give me grief also. I guess I'll see what I can workout...
Cheers

So long as it's running Windows 7 or later i reckon you'll be fine - I use a very low spec Windows tablet to run VCDS without any problems.
