Hello,
I would like assistance in linking a lable file with my control module.
Engine code is BFH. VCDS doesn’t seem to recognise.
Best regards,

Hmm, in principle, 022 906 032 CN should re-direct to 022-906-032-BFH.LBL.

You're using VCDS-Mobile. Have you checked whether VCDS picks shows a label for that ECU? Because if VCDS does and VCDS-Mobile doesn't, we'll need to move this thread to HEX-NET support.

Sorry for taking too long to get back to you.
I took a look at VCDS instead of VCDS modile this time.
Now the blocks have label in them but not in VCDS Mobile.
Also I'm not sure why I still see a Redir Fail on the top left corner :/

OK, it would seem that 022-906-032-BFH doesn't exist in current English label sets; I can only find it in German.

The labels you're seeing in VCDS itself are "best guess" based on the data type rather than something ECU specific.

Is there something in particular you are looking for in that ECU? Perhaps I can tell you where it is.

Thank you Uwe,
Not in particular. I was wondering, if theses “best guess” label can be made available over vcds mobile.
Last time I was looking for timing chain diagnosis numbers over vcds mobile through block 208(1 to 4) & 209 (1 to 4) I was having weird numbers, but on vcds (computer version) numbers, labeling and units make sens.
See link again :
Best regards

Sorry to ask again,
But is there any development on why we can’t see the labels on vcds-mobile for this particular ecu ? :/

If you feel the values are inconsistent, can you post side-by-side screenshots of vcds and vcds-mobile showing what you mean? You could also make a debug log in mobile [Options] -> debug level == 001f [Submit] then start a measuring values log of those blocks, let it run for a bit, the close. Make sure the debug log uploads or email it to us.

Those are not screenshots of the same case, you have blocks from at least two groups selected in the VCDS-Mobile screenshot and you have only group 1 selected in VCDS. Are you saying that one of the groups selected in the VCDS-Mobile screenshot is group 1, if so which one? And what other group is selected? Also, I reiterate that a debug log would help clarify this.

Thank you Shaun. I realy appreciate the support :)
You are correct.
The vcds screenshot is on block 1.
The vcds-mobile screenshot is on block 208 & 209.
What I wanted to demonstrate is that in vcds things are good to go, it’s behaving well, data looks good and they are labeled. On the other other end, in vcds-mobile units and labels are simply not there or completly off from what we can see when comparing with vcds.

i would definetly like to do a debug log in vcds-mobile in order to send it to you.
See link, can you tell where should I click to do so.
Best regards.

Enter debug level 001f and click submit, then go and pull up measuring values. But when there is no label file, the descriptions are guessed from best available information, and sometimes there is no unit or description at all. You can't compare one measuring value to a different one and expect the level of description to be the same.

So tonight I did that.
Went on vcds-mobile (infrastrure mode)
Went to options.
Typed in 001f in the field and did « sumbit »
Not sure if it did something, but then I hit back.
Went to select engine module, advanced measuring block.
Selected 208 and 209. Hit sumbit.
Started a log for a minute or two and then stoped it.
i repeated this proces a couple of times because I wasn’t sure if something was ongoing after beeing in options and 001F.
I went into vcds-cloud to pull out the log bur it wasn’t there …
I’m not sure if I did the steps correctly.

You should find the log in [options] -> [View saved files]. If those are the groups in particular you have questions about, can you post a screenshot of those in VCDS?

Ok,
So here is the same measuring blocks but this time in vcds:
As we can see units and labels are there, but when on vcds-mobile we see a totaly different thing (as mentionned earlier as per:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/46incrnw07fwn9v/IMG_9315.PNG?dl=0 )
Also I’m providing with a quick log of that same session:

Did you ever make a debug log or a log with VCDS-Mobile? I will need those logs as well.

I’m trying, but nothing seems to record in vcds-cloud when I try to do some logging.
Its not the first time I’m logging. It worked well in the past. Now for some odd reason I press start logging, then I wait a couple of minute later, then hit Stop. When I go in vcds-cloud I don’t see those logs.
Are the logs also recorded into the hex-net device (memory) or they go strait to the cloud?
I tried to log with the 001F debug function and without succes as well. Nothing seems to be recorded.

The logs are on your interface in [View saved files] the debug log will be there too. They have to be uploaded to the cloud to show up there, which can also be manually triggered from that screen.

docid=00006FA0

Here is debug 2:
docid=00006FA1

I’m posting this here, but I’m not sure if it will be working.
Tried emailing as well… let me know if you need anything else
