I have this problem with my Headlight range control module (j431) for years now. The malfunction light for this control module will always be on no matter what. I did asked the forum about the issue but did not solved it. I replaced my headlights a few months ago since the internal wirings were damaged due to corrosion caused by water ingress. Even after I’ve replaced the headlights the control module problem is still there. Recently when doing a scan I’ve notice that one of the DTC in the headlight range module (address 55) is that the module is not coded. I tried to program the module with the code from my previous saved scan but was unable to do so. The prompt that came up was Error 22: condition not met/wrong sequence or something like that. What does that mean? How do I get to recode the control module. At the moment, the driver side of the headlight could not perform the usual AFS left right and up down movement of the headlight projector when turning on the ignition. That is the only problem with the headlight now. Hope these information will help. Thank you.
