Hi any help please,
Air conditioning wont come on, cant get it to come off ECON mode, carried out scan as you can see 00819 High Pressure Sensor (G65) Open or Short To Plus, checked plug 12volts present, did an output test condenser fan didn't run, checked operation by putting a 12volt supply to fan ran with no issue. Obviously i don't know if the sensor is faulty or not, i did disconnect the plug and did a rescan but it would not clear the DTC i don't know if that's because its out of the circuit. My thoughts are why didn't the output test not run the fan is there a relay ? where is, it checked the fuses in the usual place i.e. A post drivers side all ok, refrigerant gas level checked and fine

Hopefully someone may have experienced a similar problem

Thanks

If you had power on terminal 3 and ground on terminal 1 replacing the G65 sensor might be a lot easier than checking the signal wire to the 08-Auto HVAC controller. However, if you replace the sensor make sure they sell you the correct part number because there were several sensor types for vehicles from this time frame.

In regards to the Output test function, did you try that in both Address 01 and 08? I don't know if that is a supported function on this car but it can't hurt to try in both controllers.

Did they sell you part number 3R0 959 126?

If not, let us know which part number was removed and which was installed.

If so, it might be time to jump into a wiring diagram so the signal wire from it to the 08-Auto HVAC controller (including any connector points in-between) can be checked.

OK. I'm not so sure that's correct based on the Supersession path:

8Z0 959 126
8E0 959 126
8E0 959 126 B
8E0 959 126 C
3R0 959 126

That's probably why PartsLink24 only showed the newest 8E and 3R part numbers based on VIN.

I'm not very confident that 4H0 959 126 B (which is a newer sensor that communicates via LIN) is correct for this car.

I’m only going on what they say ,
I’m more inclined to think it’s an electrical problem as I can’t even clear the fault with the sensor disconnect and plug disconnected in engine bay.
Maybe HVAC control???
