Hello, im new to this forum and VCDS. My friend gave me his old HEX-V2 scanner to use while he is not home and i wanted to fix some issues on my car while he is away. I fixed some issues on my own (ABS and airbag errors) but i cant figure out why the check engine light is on. I have a 2004 Mk5 1.9 TDI. I get the Motor for Intake Manifold Flap and i tried cleaning the intake manifold flap and EGR but it didnt fix it. Then i tested it what it does when i turn off the engine and i think it worked fine, here is a vid and you tell me if this is how it should work: https://streamable.com/7mv9j6 . I also found somewhere to disconnect the battery for 15 minutes so it would calibrate the flap and it fixed the issue for like 2 days and 200km but it came back again. Here is the auto-scan:
Code:
Removed. Data from a clone/pirate copy of VCDS is not acceptable here.

HI, I noticed that the top of your Autoscan is edited; I'm pretty sure the Administrator is going to want to see that information, Like this for example:

Wednesday,16,June,2021,10:06:09:30753 VCDS -- Windows Based VAG/VAS Emulator Running on Windows 10 x64 VCDS Version: 21.3.0.0 (x64) HEX-NET CB: 0.4543.4 Data version: 20210226 DS325.0 www.Ross-Tech.com

That scan was not made with a HEX-V2. It was made with a cloned HEX+CAN, however, it may be HEX-V2 look-alike case.

You may want to get a better friend. ;)

But in any case, getting help in this forum requires the use of a legitimate VCDS system.

They are available directly from us:
https://store.ross-tech.com/shop/cat/VCDS

... Or from any of our authorized resellers:
http://www.ross-tech.com/distributors.php

Let us know if/when you get one and we'll adjust your forum status.
