Hi, I took my friend's original HEX CAN (older cable he not use because of V2) and connect it to windows PRO preview ARM 64bit (VM paralles on MAC), VCDS start and works OK but windows can't install usb cable drivers 32bit not fit but 64bit should be OK because of new windows ARM preview support 64bit aplications but somehow windows can't do it.
System device manager shows info "no drivers" for usb ross-tech cable, I think this needs only some edition in RT-USB64.inf file

thre is section:
Code:
[DestinationDirs]
RT-USB.NTamd64.Copy = 10,system32\drivers
RT-USB.NTamd64.Copy2 = 10,system32
RT-USB.NTamd64.Copy3 = 10,syswow64

and lower:

Code:
[Manufacturer]
%RossTech%=RossTechHw,NTamd64

[RossTechHw.NTamd64]
%USB\VID_0403&PID_FA20.DeviceDesc%=RT-USB,USB\VID_0403&PID_FA20
%USB\VID_0403&PID_FA23.DeviceDesc%=RT-USB,USB\VID_0403&PID_FA23
%USB\VID_0403&PID_FA24.DeviceDesc%=RT-USB,USB\VID_0403&PID_FA24
%USB\VID_0403&PID_FA25.DeviceDesc%=RT-USB,USB\VID_0403&PID_FA25

I think windows ARM has got different name, not syswow64 anyway maybe somebody has got an idea ?

Windows ARM is "Not Supported".

HEX+CAN interfaces are effectively obsolete. The design dates back to the early 2000s. We stopped selling them in 2016 because they are not compatible with current cars.

The drivers for them are just FTDI drivers, renamed, and tweaked for the PIDs that were assigned to us back by FTDI in the early 2000s when we started using their chips.

If you think that all that is needed is some editing of the .INF files, what prevents you from doing so? ;)

Cable is HEX+USB-CAN for clear info and it's perfect for my A8 V8 97year, of course cable works under normal windows (and VM parallels Mac with Intel) just I wish to see it working in VM windows ARM (mac win M1 chip)
