Hi

I currently have an audi a3 2006 2.0T. Would RossTech vcds's be able to activate the needle sweep on this car?

Kind regards
Llewellyn

Please see this page in our Wiki: Audi A3/S3 & A3 Cabriolet (8P) In particular, please see the "small" list of Common Modifications & Tweaks

I do not see anything that indicates your instrument cluster supports needle sweep. That said, there may be others here who know the platform better than I and who can comment further.

It is not possible just like that , some software modification needs to be done and will support Lap Timer and Needles sweep. This means it require different tool to do this .

You can go and try , go to 17 -Instruments to Adaptation,Ch36 and see if you can change value form 0 to 1 . If you can SAVE value to 1 , then you can activated it.
Forgot to mention above , Lap timer in not support in all clusters.

My guess is that the cluster in this car does not support that.

Here you go 2011 A3 :
OK, but a 2011 cluster isn't the same as a 2006 cluster. 2011 is "Mk.6" generation, and probably UDS, while 2006 is very much still Mk.5.

Audi cluster is very similar from 2006-2009 Red Display and 2009 and up with White Display ,I install many While LCD to older 2006-2009 cars and they share almost same technology , Only one that does not support tweek, will be early 2003-2006 with fujitsu MCU.
