13-Auto Dist. Reg -- Status: Cannot be reached 0100

Hey Guys,

I just bought a VW Golf MK7 2013 and i my front radar sensor doesn't work and on controller 13 i get Status: Cannot be reached 0100 so i presume it's something got to do with that?

I scanned my car with VCDS and i can't figure out what the Cannot be reached means? What could the problem be?

Removed.  Data from a clone/pirate copy of VCDS is not acceptable here.

Hello and welcome. In general, the holy trinity of "Cannot be reached" is power, ground and data.
So step 1 would be to check these. get a WD from ERWIN. get HEX V2/HEX NET to fully support the MxB cars.
Step 2 would be to get verified and get this moved this to support.
Any specific reason the header of your autoscan is MIA?

Hello and welcome. In general, the holy trinity of "Cannot be reached" is power, ground and data.
So step 1 would be to check these. get a WD from ERWIN. get HEX V2/HEX NET to fully support the MxB cars.
Step 2 would be to get verified and get this moved this to support.
Any specific reason the header of your autoscan is MIA?
I have got the manuals already as my heating works in one half of the car so i got the full pack of repair manuals.

Wondering what does the Auto Dist. Reg stand for? Like what is that controller exactly? Is it the cruise control module and the radar sensor and stuff?

I got this scanned of a friend of mine and he sent me this txt file.

Yes, it's the adaptive cruise control radar.

You can perform some further diagnostics in a very easy way.
It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.
Remove the grill with VW logo and then you will be able to reach to the radar plug.
Disconnect it and then switch ignition ON.
As mentioned above by @iichel there are 4 wires.
Identify power wires (red & brown) and take voltage reading.
Next step is to disconnect your car battery "-" terminal
and measures resistance on remaining 2 wires of the radar plug.
Based on your measurements (V & Ω) you will know straight away where you at in terms of the malfunction.

Yes so there is power and resistance in the wiring so would that mean the sensor is bad?
