The plan for today is to update XenForo from 2.1 to 2.2. Compared to the transition from vBulletin to XF 2.1, this should be relatively straightforward, without much change in the look and feel of the forum.

@Santos plans to make the forum read-only at 3:30pm, do a complete backup, and then do the upgrade starting around 4:00pm. Hopefully, we'll all be back up and running by dinner time.

@Uwe/ @Santos: I'm not sure about others, but I have found the "undo" function quite useful in the previous version software. This tile is no longer available in SF2.1

I note in the latest update that there is lots of unused space to the right-side of last tile ("Draft") on the top of the post area. I assume that this top-line is customizable, so maybe unused space is more efficiently used populated with something rather than nothing

For those of us that tend to write in advance of our brains and if XF 2.1 allows the tiles in the top-line to be customized, please consider re-instating the undo tile.

@DV52 Yeah, I really didn't like the default editing menus in this version so I tweaked 'em back to how I thought they should be. I never used "Undo" myself, so I didn't include it, but I certainly can....

"Undo" is there there now in the Large and Medium menus. I've not put it in the Small or Extra small at this time. If you're using a proper computer, you should have it.

@Uwe: Many thanks for accommodating my request . I'm not sure what is meant be "Large", "Medium", "Small" and "Extra Small"? On my very-proper computer, I see this (which generously, now includes my favorite "undo" tile):

Without wanting to wear-out my welcome on the forum (perhaps an exaggerated presumption? :D) - I notice that the old "insert list" tile is also missing after the latest update.

Again, given the cavernous space to the right-side of the "daft" tile (on the command line) - what do you think?

Don

PS: is it possible get a (drop-down) list of all the available command line functions on Xenforo and can this be done within the forum environment - ideally as another tile on the top line of the reply screen?

This version of XenForo supports four different menu layouts and automatically switches between them depending on the available width of the window.

I can add it, and in fact have just done so. I gave you a nested one with several choices.

Of course just how "cavernous" the empty space is will depend on the width of your browser window. ;)

If it goes to less than zero, the menu may (will?) wrap to take more vertical space, and personally, I wouldn't like that very much, but like you I still do have some empty space with the typical window widths that I use.

Didn't want to make a new thread for this so I'll ask here.
Is it possible to edit thread title after it has been posted and has replies in it? I had a thread where I posted about a problem and since it has been solved I would like to add a tag [Solved] to it so that other people looking for something would know that the thread might have information that might be useful to them.

No, regular users cannot edit thread titles at that point. Feel free to post a request in the thread in question, or PM me with a link to the thread.
