I'm wanting to change the alternator pulley along with the tensioner and belt. Has anyone managed to do this without taking the front end off? I've ordered a 33 spline bit off ebay for the pulley, and worst case I'll take the alternator off if its comes to it. I'm more concerned about the room for removing the tensioner if anything. Thanks in advance

It might be useful if you stated exactly which TDI engine this car has. I'm fairly confident Audi offered several different ones.
