Hello: Looking for input on an issue I created. I installed APR's Stage3 kit on my 2016 Golf R and after installing the high output LPFP my gas gauge no longer works. I checked to ensure the arm moves freely and ensured the wires are connected tightly. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Do you have the Official Factory Wiring Diagrams/Repair manuals? We recommend to use them when attempting to diagnoses these vehicles.

I would suggest to look for wiring concerns at the "GX1-Fuel Delivery Unit", Pins (3)/(5) are for the "Fuel Level Sensor-G" and Pins (4)/(6) are for the Fuel Level Sensor-G169" and Pin (1) is the common for both sensors G and G169.

All of these wires go directly to the T18 connector on the J285-Instrument Cluster. There are no other connections in between so the concern should be in the area of the Tank, unless something was shorted/damaged withing the J285???

Have you checked/verified the Fuel Level sensor's resistance changes in the Advanced Measuring Value blocks when moving the arms of the fuel level sensors?

Are there any fault codes in the J285-Instrument Cluster?
