I thought I trying to get some ides about my DSG problem before I heading to a garage and let them rip me off.
Unfortunately I lost the scans with the faults
It is just a general question regarding the symptoms.
It is a DQ500 DSG
The fault codes I used to have was related to gear changes was not able to put in 1 ,4 ,N I went to limp mode many times and restarting the engine solved the issues. The code was deleted and car was drive fine
When the box cold I feel some juddering and sometimes I feel it uphill on low gear but only when the box cold.
If the box warm the only issues I have is when I brake to a full stop and wanting to drive again sometimes the box kicks it to gear soo hard I feel like I left my gear box on the road
I also feel this kick in gear thing in roundabouts but only if I drive it fast.
I can use the car for months before any issue and when it happens I delete the code and it works properly agin.
VW wants to change the whole box and a vw specialist wants to change the Mechatronics
But I hoping it something else because it started showing symptoms after a DSG service. since than nI find out the garage who done the job is a cowboy garage. They made huge mistakes during my engine refurb so it possible that they not serviced the Box properly and there is not enough oil in the box
My questions would be .
Can all this happen due to a lack of oil in the box?
What test I can do with VCDS to properly check the gearbox?
