I retrofitted the Facelift Fabia 2 fog lights with DRL lights and wired it to the DRL switch and the fog lights to PIN 9 and 10 of T73B as erWin shows it. (PIN 7 of T73a from Light switch and to cluster as well). Before I started, it wasnt clear, if my BCM would support it, so I disconnected it from my car and tooked a look to the PINs. Some are missing inside the BCM but those for Fog lights (see above) were there. I believed that this would indicate support for those.

I was also able to Code "Fog lights installed" and "turn fog lights on with turn signals" (or similar). The coding was accepted. But it does not work. Neither with the light switch set to front fog lights nor while turn the turn signal on. EDIT: Byte 21, Bits 2 and 7

The engine was not running, only ignition was on.

Does m BCM support it? If no, why are the PINS there? I tried to open the BCM for further inspections but it seems to be locked somehow with a one time solution.

Did you run a wire to T73b/11 from the fuse box terminal 30 (15A)? The 087 BCM should be able to offer cornering lights with fog lights, no problem.

No, I did not run these wire, because erWin did not showed it to me for the section „static cornering lights)“

I'll checked the BCM PINS: Pin 11 ist scratched, so there must be already a wire from factory side.

@dnoermann I believe the 087 is capable to control fog lights but any other "extension" is only available in higher versions.

But I did a mistake for the light switch. I believe I connected it to T73a/9 by fault. It has to be on the PIN 7 (I see that because the PIN looks unused/unscratched). Do the cornering lights with turn signal on also working with ign on but eng off? I tested it only with ign.

BTW: The SW is still the current one on this BCM?


EDIT: It is working now! Byte 12 Bit 6 was missing! And I had to switch the wire from Pin 9 to 7, as written.

Solved! :)

I see. Here is the Polo 6R diagram, which shares the same platform with your Fabia 2 and the T5.1/5.2 and T5 Transporters. dnoermann knows a thing or two about it as well, I think he's being modest.

And don't forget the wire T17/8 to T73a/7 for the fog light. There is no need to run a wire to the cluster for this. The wire for the cluster is for the rear fog indicator light.

I'm also sharing some adaptation channels of the BCM, these are not documented but perhaps Ross Tech can implement them later in their labels @Dana ?
They apply to all PQ25 BCMs (6R0, 7H0, 7E0, 1S0, 5C0) with static cornering lights. I'm more than happy to share all the channels I know about.

No. The wire to the cluster is actually for the front fog light. As stated in erwin. Without it, the led wont turn on.

edit: this is B554. This wire goes from light switch to cluster and BCM.

do you have a erwin installation? If not: from where got you these wiring diagrams?

Yes I have an ElsaWin installation. B554 is perhaps different for your Fabia. In the Polo 6R, the B554 is the connection that goes to the hard-wired fog lights, if present. The Polo 6R has the indicator light for the front fog lights on the light switch itself, and the indicator light for the rear fog light in the cluster.

:thumbs: Even more adaptation channels to share? Especially interested about (possibly) channel to disengage auto-wiping when windscreen washer is operated. In freezing condition would like to squirt washer liquid a few times before wiping off.

Check the bit to disable the diagnostics, so in your case you set bit 7 to ON

Check to disable?! It states it should be checked ro enable it.

tjere is a spelling error (active vs aktiv, germam). Where can I report that? @Dana ?

I'm afraid this isn't possible, sorry.
Channel 53 is for high beam assist
Channel 54 is for return-to-center high beam stalk (T6 stalk)
Channel 56 is to indicate left-right-left or the other way around, like a thank you on the Autobahn
Channel 68 is to always illuminate the hazard light button

Then there are some channels to determine how long the heated front and rear windows stay on. Most of the others are already documented or unknown to me

Yes but try and see... checking it will disable the diagnostics.
