Hi Guys,
This is my first post here so I am sorry if I don't have the formula down, please bear with me. I have a customer with 2018 GTI who had me install Emmanuele design lowering springs to retain his DCC. However he did not like how stiff it was even in the comfort setting. He opted to have me install the Bilstein B16 ride control coilover kit. Unfortunately he thought these were the "plug and play" coils, not the complete kit that someone without DCC would install in order to have electronic suspension, so it has its own wiring, module, and ride select button. Long story short the "plug and play kit" would not be available for some time if we returned these so he requested we install what we had and just code out the factory DCC. I tried looking everywhere to see if anyone else had done this succesfully and the best I could find was a post from 2016 about a ROW Golf R. Needless to say it did not necessarily translate straight over to what I had so I kind of went in and tried to find everything I could myself. I tried coding Instruments Byte 4 Bit 4 to Adaptive Chassis Control (DCC) not installed but I still get the error. I have also tried unchecking "Susp. Elect." in the CAN Gateway and I also tried Bit 7 in Byte 27 in the ABS module but it doesn't specify what that is and it didn't appear to make a change. I guess my biggest challenge is that none of the coding in ABS is available so I can't really see what is selected and why. I am going to try and remove fuse 52 in fuse panel "C" (Electronic damping control module) when I get the car back and try all of the above over again. The Auto-Scan I provided is with no coding or any other changes applied. I am no genius by any stretch of the imagination here so please be nice lol. If any of you have any info on what I should do try I would greatly appreciate the advice. I can also pull wiring diagrams with alldata (some data) if needed. Thank you!
