Some days ago I joined this forum and I entered the serial no labeled on my cable.
Yesterday I finally had a laptop to use with my purchased cable.
I have registered and today I also had the first VIN-number registered with my cable.
But I can't open a new topic and it says that only verified members can do that.
So I am not verified yet?

Did you follow these instructions? Also, did you use the Same email address as when you registered?

If your status is something other than a "Verified" user, that means we could not find you in our customer records when you joined the forum. This could be due to one of following: 1) You didn't give us enough information. Perhaps you didn't provide a serial number, or maybe you're using a...
When I check my cable it verifies that I am registered with my name. I changed my email in this forum to match the email I used for the registration so they should match by now.
Yet somehow, you opened this one.
You signed up for this forum a solid month before you registered your VCDS with us. So no, you were not made a Verified user at that time. Moreover, we are not able to check every new VCDS registration that comes in to see if it might correspond to a forum user who qualifies to be Verified based on that registration. So if you join the forum before you register your VCDS with us, the only way to get Verified in the forum is to bring the matter to our attention. Since you have done that now, you are now:

That wasn't much help because you totally missed the third field of the serial number, but I did find you in our customer records another way, so...

I purchased mine directly from Ross-Tech. Followed the instructions on how to register through the software. Said I will recieve an email in about 20 minutes. 6 hours later, and no email. How long do I need to wait before emailing Ross-Tech ?
Do you think that e-mailing us at 10:00 PM on a Friday night will do much good?

A little while back I posted this thread regarding swapping steering wheels on a B6 Passat. I kind of left it on the back burner until now - I have received my shiny new HEX-V2 from Roseland up here in Canuckland and have registered the product within VCDS. I have updated my forum profile info to enter in the serial from VCDS. I can confirm I am using the same email address for both VCDS & forum registration so just wanted to bring this to your attention to get verified at your earliest convenience
