Just made an account here, but can't ask anything in the actual forum. What gives?
Trying to figure out why Auto Scan has stopped workin. Gateway should be just fine. Version update issue? Bad OBD connection?

Be sure you are using a Legitimate version of VCDS. A genuine RT VCDS interface is Required on this forum.
The device is genuine and the VCDS is downloaded from Ross-Tech site. I provided the device serial number upon registration on this forum and I assumed that would be enough since I got accepted here, I don't think that happens if you don't have a legit license?

If that were true we wouldn't have so many users of counterfeit copies of VCDS asking for help here.
For sure, but the license number was asked during the registration process and it was "manually" verified so why the extra verification round.
I fully understand the caution here but still. I did the second round of verification as per link provided here we'll see how it goes.
Fellas: He's got a C?ID number in his profile, which means we know what (legitimate) interface he claims to have, but it says "NRRT" next to it, which means "Not Registered with Ross-Tech".

Yes, you have a legitimate system, but you have not yet registered it with Ross-Tech, which is a requirement for Verified User status. See:

Hi,
I followed the procedured to become verified and received the email stating I can visit the site as a registered member. When I try to post in threads I don't have an option to do so and there is a box at the bottom of the page saying "You have insufficient privileges to post threads here."
What am I doing wrong?

You joined the forum a couple of days before you registered your interface, i.e. before you were in our customer records. We're not a position to check if every new registration that comes in might correspond to a forum account that's eligible to be Verified as a result, so the only way to fix that is to bring it to our attention. You've done that now, so..

Strange, I can't find anything from you.
Please confirm that you filled out this form and that you got a confirmation that your data has been sent. I just tested that form to make sure it's not broken. It works fine.
