Thanks for you reply. I didn't know it was called "Multiscan", it was bought in 2013 from Vagsmart AB in Sweden (their name was "Svenska VAG-COM" back then). According to my invoice from them (which I acually found in the library ) they do not print the serial number on the device. But yes, the number printed on the dongle actually ends with *762 How ever, I have filled out the registering form with the certificate number and long serial number from VCDS. I don't know whether you can see my registration form, or perhaps that's not your task to check?

Svenska VAG-COM was purchased by VAGsmart AB... I think in the Spring of 2015.

The certificate and the long serial should do the job. Uwe will be along to finish things with you.
