Hi,

Purchased a Hex-V2 from a reseller in Europe and I have registered and verified using the VCDS software (I can see my details in the about section on VCDS) however I am unable to post in the car repair support section on the forum. Can my forum status be checked please?

You joined yesterday, before your HEX-V2 was registered, so you only got New User status then. But since you provided a serial number, and registered your HEX-V2 early this morning (our time), we flipped you to Verified.

Good Morning!

Just wondering, is it the serial number in the VCDS software that we should put in as our serial number? Or is it the number on the front of the Hex V2 Port?

I've entered the one as per the software but worried that I may have done the incorrect one and now cannot change it.

Just was trying to register my hex-net and unlucky as don't have pc….its any possibility to do without pc?
Im on mac etc. if impossible will need to find someone with pc and do it that way.

Just seen i put wrong vcds number in lol (HN2-xxxx48) too much confusing all this
With cloud account it’s that linked to normal account or it’s separate? Cant change now fffs

Yep. You surely know someone with one. You don't need a complete VCDS installation, just VCIConfig.exe and hidapi.dll. Or you could install Parallels on your Mac. But if you're going to get seriously into diagnostics, you should probably just get a cheap (used?) PC.

Nah, the HN2 number is fine, in fact, easier for me to deal with that the long serial from VCDS-Mobile. In any case, the rules are, your system has to be registered before you can be Verified.
