That thread is in a section of the forum where only Verified users can post.

To become a Verified user, please see the first post of this thread. I believe category 2) applies in your case.

There should be a number printed on your interface that starts with "AVT". You can use this in the Certificate Number field and leave the Short Serial field empty.

A serial number alone is not sufficient if the system in question was purchased from a reseller, which yours was. As described in the first post of this thread, you still need to register that system with us by filling out this form. Please put "Check my forum status" in the 'Notes or Special Instructions' field of the form.

Uwe, I am having trouble getting my vcds working so I can reset the throttle body on a mk3 golf. I have purchased the software, and I have paid the $99usd for registering of the software, but I still have nothing, it has been a while now and I seem to have lost communications by email. I thought that there would be some activation code sent to me, but have not seen anything yet. I am in NZ and the cost to me is over $140nzd is there something I have missed or maybe something else I can do.

Hmm, we sent your activation on 7/31 at around 1:00pm (East Coast USA time).

I've just forwarded to you again. If you do not receive it, please check your spam/junk folders. If it's not there, I might suggest getting a gmail address. They seem pretty reliable.

Normal users (even ones who are Verified) cannot start new threads in that section. Please start your thread somewhere else and ask us to consider moving it there.

when i originally tried i could not complete the form due to the short serial number on the interface as mine is from ilexa in the uk i have the long serial number but the short one from interface i dont have as it says supplied by ilexa and their contact details on it retrying again same issue dont have a short serial anything else i can do?

Is there a number on it that starts with "ILX"? If there is, please use that as your certificate number. You only need to put valid data in two of the three fields in that section of the form.

I am sure that I have completed the form in the past and I have bought an original VCDS. I have posted in the forum before and under my profile it says that I am verified member.
Can someone please tell me why I can not post anything?
