2014 jetta tdi no interior lights, no trunk light, no glove box light

as described to me:
the story:
headlights were left on till battery went dead
door opened to open hood.
battery charger attached in an effort to recharge the battery.
lights start flashing, interior lights flashing, dash doing weird stuff
headlight switch turned off, door closed , weird stuff stopped and battery was charged up.
everything seems back to normal , later discovered no int lights.
all fuses were said to have been checked and found to be fine. i checked to verify as well.
i did an auto scan found a couple codes both were a system voltage low
which i assumed were due to the dead battery. cleared all codes, reautoscanned, no codes returned even after a day
still no interior lights.

anyone have any ideas, local dealership mechanic said he has seen this happen a few times and its always been a fuse.
is it possible that there is coding needed to activate the int lights that could have been lost??
as far as i know interior lights dont need to be coded to activate

did this quick for a friend didnt save a scan because it cleared and returned no codes
if you think an auto scan with no codes is helpful i could post one next time i see the guy.
i have no interest in working on the problem just asked so he would know what he might be in for if he wanted to take it to the dealer.
i am also curious what happened to cause this, seems ridiculous to me putting a battery charger on would result in an expensive repair.

An autoscan is always helpful to us because it tells us how the car is configured and we can know what software versions are in the modules and so on. Yes, always start your threads requesting help with an autoscan.

As to the cause of the craziness... hard to say what may have occurred... often when the system is at low voltage, the control modules do not respond correctly.

this time i have no " respective responsibilities " in the repair of this car.
i am simply trying to help a disillusioned vw owner.

the suggestion of comparing the scan to a legacy scan would be idea, i didnt have the foresight to do a scan on this guys car
when he bought it.

forgot to mention i tried doing an output test on the interior lights with the vcds and nothing..
something that hasnt been checked ,,, if the bulbs are simply burnt out, kind of unlikely that the sun visor bulbs could have been
effected while turned off though ..

as for your first remark, ya that would be idea, i would pass the magic answer along to the owner. or he could see it for himself

Well as aforementioned have your friend do what is proper huh?

So you didn't save a scan and you also didn't search configurations online that are similar, nor have an SVM done or observe actual tracks/components yet, so what are you expecting here someone to hold your hand for you?

When you did outputs did you test them at the module directly isolated to rule out yet or are you going to check such a simple circuit at device/consumers?

What about fuses or checking cigarette lighter/aux B+ for a tip coin?

Are not most VW owners in a State of Disillusion?
