Looking forward to receiving my VCHN on Monday.
Thank you for all the hard work and ingenuity that went into this !

What kind of amp draw does the unit have ?
I'm wondering if it could/should be left plugged in all the time.

Thanks- Jake

Thanks, that makes perfect sense.

Somehow I either missed that on the FAQ or haven't checked it in a while.

It's quite possible that wasn't in the FAQ when you read it. We keep adding stuff as people ask, or as we think of things that should be in there.

I just tried to measure, in normal mode: about 122 mA, in low-power sleep mode: about 10 mA.

What technique did you use to measure it Niels? It should average less than 10 mA, but it's going to have some spikes..

Fluke 23, 0...300 mA range, OBD breakout box, pin 16. With the new HEX-NET ;-), thanks.

10 mA is not a big worry, but it's higher than I would like and I know we were lower than that back when we tested it. Maybe we should test it again ourselves...

Confirming low power works flawlessly on 2012 Audi A8L.
Set the timeout to 60 seconds per FAQ entry 6.10. Thanks.
