Hello, I am a newbie to both VCDS and the forum 
and need a little help with understanding how to get rid of the annoying 'Check front Left Main beam' and dash light after upgrading my DRL/High beam halogen bulbs to LEDs on my 2011 VW GOLF MK6 GTI.
I have found a few posts online talking about byte 18 in particular, but between a those posts and VCDS warning me if I code incorrectly I could cause irreversible damage I am apprehensive to try something for a golf of a different year and spec. Therefore I'd like to be a little more sure before I balls something up on my own.
Auto-scan gives me fault code '01495' - I have swapped over the LEDs and still get the same error on the left one only (despite them both working fine). If I put the halogens back in I have no error hence me thinking is a coding issue not a wiring/faulty LED issue.
