Can't view any of those images - all show a message saying "The image you are requesting does not exist or is no longer available" maybe a permissions problem like not public?

That is part of the plastic linkage holding open the lower flap (fault code)

aOwJhpM.jpg

note plastic pieces in LL port and UL port - on pic also notice fans regarding clearance challenge !

TsL2EKu.jpg

The small pieces were all in the head intake ports ; the large flap piece fell out of the original intake when I tipped it on its end!!

"open heart" surgery !

left crank case ventilation component in place (lots of plastic).

this assembly came off with the original intake ; note hoses strategically disconnected. Also, note the connection to the connection above photo (o-ring).

Different view / angle ; same component as above.

New intake manifold install complete ; with new HP fuel pumps. Just before start up ; fuel lines ready to be observed / checked for leaks! Bottom of photo: LP fuel pump SENSOR (top of pump) PN: 06E906051K Audi

PN's for head gaskets, cam followers, O-rings (throttle body).

HP fuel pumps from ECStuning.com

Note proximity of Core support relative to front of manifold location !

That would be kinda like deleting your video from YT after posting it here; it won't display here (or anywhere else for that matter). ;)

I (now) know, I know......I didn't quite think that one threw, did I ! :banghead:

Please feel free to delete the posts where the "photo note" shows that the video is no longer available from Imgur.com. (ie #41, 42,43) Thanks Uwe.

OK now, BTW you must leave them on imgur - what you paste here is a link to imgur not the actual image

Conclusion: VCDS showed the fault code stored (prior to new Intake M. install) P2004 "intake runner stuck open , Bank 1" (pass. side ; LHD vehicle)Which also displayed a CEL (engine icon).

I cleared those faults without problems, and was curious what Engine----->grp. 142-----> Basic setting-04 was going to show. Apparently, the system self adapted the new sensors as grp. 142 (and Bank 2 grp. 144) showed in Field four = "ADP OK" .

I ran through the sequence anyway for both groups (also shown in post #3):
Is Basic Settings. for Bank 1
Engine in idle
Group 142
[Basic Settings-04]
[ON/OFF/Next]
Wait until Field 4 show "ADP Ok"

For Bank 2, same procedure, with Group 144
And all remained the same = "ADP-OK" in field four. (note: prior to Intake/sensor replacement field 4 showed "ERROR")

So, should the time come when another reader of this thread is doing this procedure, all that may be necessary is clearing any fault codes. Thanks again to all the contributed to this fault code.

I know this is a fairly old thread, however, I have recently discovered that there is a vendor in Russia, that does make a replacement flap set for our intake manifolds.

There are a few users on the Audi World forums that seem to be having success with them. Shipping out of Russia to some countries is a problem, but they are working on it.
