Grayed out measure blocks button- can't see tranny adaptation values

Hello,

Trying to view the transmission adaptation values but when I go to tranny controller, then I'm supposed to go to measure block (73-77) but the button is grayed out. Did 20.4 lose this functionality? Older versions (17.x) seem to be able to from screen shots on older posts. 2010 Audi s5.

It looks to me that version 17 is using 09L-927-760.LBL label file, and version 20 is using 0B6-927-156.CLB label file.

You could try to find 09L-927-760.LBL, copy and paste it into your user label directory and rename it.

That won't work. There's no way those two screen-shots from the same transmission. The first one is from an 0B6, much newer transmission that uses the UDS protocol, which simply does not support the old-school Measuring Blocks. The second is from an 09L, a substantially older transmission that uses one of the earlier protocols that still do support Measuring Blocks.

I don't see anything obvious in the data for that transmission either. All I can tell you is that it's a totally different transmission than the other one you (and the instructions you're apparently trying to follow) are referring to. This is definitely not a VCDS version issue.

Ok, I get it now. If the adaptation values are anywhere, they'll be buried on the 700+ advanced measuring values. I'll click thru each plausible advanced measuring value and report back if I see any data that looks like adaptation values.

here are my adaptation values for a 2010 audi s5. the reason to look at these is supposedly for the health of the automatic transmission, especially the charge pressure (i think)
