Hi can anyone help, I`ve bought a hex-v2 cable to do a throttle body alignment after cleaning. I have followed the Ross-Tech procedure for doing this. Fully charged battery, Connected to car, Engine 01, Basic settings, 060 code entered, Pressed Go and nothing happens, no values or anything. Cable shows green so is communicating. My car is an Audi a4 2.0 tdi b7. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong would be appreciated. Please note I am no expert with these things or tech

Since there isn't a traditional throttle body on TDI engines I don't see that the question is a valid one.

Why do you think you need to align the "throttle body" after cleaning - where in the Ross-Tech wiki does it say to follow the procedure you mention on a TDI engine?

Hi guys,

I reviewed the scan Clive sent via email before reading this thread and I agree with Dave. This PPD TDI does not use a traditional Throttle Body and there aren't any Basic Settings or Adaptation steps that apply. The newer CAN protocol 2.0L CR TDIs did use a Throttle Valve Control Module (J338), which supported Basic Settings and Adaptation after replacement, but that isn't applicable here.

Clive please do let us know what issues you are having if you were looking to perform an adaptation for troubleshooting reasons.

As you can tell I am no mechanic!!

So I assume this would mean that if the throttle body was removed for cleaning or a simple replacement when put back on there should be no problems

Exactly. You should not have any issues after removal, cleaning and re-installation. The same should apply to a new part (if you ever need to replace it).
