Hi
I got a 2011 S5 , it was sitting in a dealer warehouse since 2014 , I could start the engine and mechanically everything works fine .
driver side windows are not working they just click that comes from the door module (passenger front rear are ok)
dealer replaced few modules component protection is active on some .
my main issue is the driver side window and convertible roof (that I thin it is due windows) and remote

Hello,

Flood cars can be a like owning a boat, both are wet places where can put lots of money!
Also they can leave you stranded, at least with a car, your still on dry land when you break down :p

You may want to start with pulling the seats, carpet/insulation, trim panels and start looking for evidence of the 'high tide' water marks.
Experience has told me that the damage does not stop at the high water mark, you can have concerns anywhere due to the amount of water and residue moisture.

Also this gives you an opportunity to find any hidden places where wiring and connectors along with any controllers that may have water damage/corrosion/etc..

The list of controller's that "Cannot be reached" in the Gateway list should be addressed first!
Many of these controllers live on or near the floor of the vehicle.

thank you for reply , yes I know I rebuilt an A7 before but I did not have much issue after repair , I got this car about $6k and the mileage is around 10-15k , I can buy a A5 and use it as part donor , my main concern is the roof if I can make sure it is working I can spend more time to fix other issues ,
I use that website a lot and love it but that is the actual auction listing I bought it from . I did some research and previous owner was a dealer they had it since 2014 and finally gave up !

what this code means?
00532 - Supply Voltage B+
011 - Open Circuit
( it has power and relay click when I use the switch)

I could not find any code on battery to adapt is it important at this level ? (it is a continental brand ) ,

I try to check the modules under carpet I checked the oders in trunk most of them been replaced ,

I have power on fuse box for door module but not on the door socket , is there any relay or module between fuse and door socket that control the positive door wire? I did not find anything on diagram

Could you do us a favor? The current sheet-fed printer style of autoscan is rather hard to read - please post the usual style of autoscan. There should be a guide somewhere here about this.

The door modules are on constant battery power, so they should have power while ignition off. Check the appropriate fuses (2 of them for each door) using WD.

FYI I found the issue with driver side windows (front rear) , Audi did a stupid wiring design , the windows wire from driver side fuse box goes back under rear seat , inside the duct they connect the driver side rear windows wire to the fuse box wire and use another wire to bring it back to the front door (they could simply just run a wire from back to fuse box and use a separate fuse and connect the other one directly to front door) 3 wires were inside the duct with just a electrical tape and were melted !

I think I fixed the wiring issues for now and windows are functional but the roof is still not working

I think the roof wont work because of the locking mechanism (there is no fault code for roof) , my FOB can unlock the doors but it wont lock it or open the trunk (door switches cannot lock either)

any idea? J393?
