Hi Chaps

Just looking for confirmation that I haven't missed anything.

Audi A2, electric windows worked, then they didn't.

Have scanned it as per attached.

Also went into each of the tests, and the 4 windows are coming up as no communication or similar. basically it cant talk to any of the window regulators, and I cant remember the exact wording, it has temporarily checked out of my brain for a bit.

Anyway, the fuses have been checked by the customer, he has changed the switches and any fuses to be on the safe side, and I have advised him to get another CCM.

Is there anything else I should get them to check and/or change.

Thanks

Lennie

I'd say replacing of CCM will not help.
Do window lifters are not working from drivers door switch block or from individual door switches, too?
Get the WD, check all power supplies to door control modules first.

Windows do not move from any switches, VCDS does not see any of them either as described above, like it cannot talk to them. He has changed the drivers window switch block, and it still doesn't work. My first thought was a fuse or relay but he has said he has changed these.

Thanks

This one is 0x46 - CCM
Code:

Those are individual door controllers. In this car they shows up as subsystems under CCM and are not accessible directly with VCDS nor any other diagnostic scanner.

Thanks Martins

Any idea why they would all break at the same time?

I am currently looking for a wiring diagram for the vehicle to see if they have a common feed from something like a 30A relay or Fuse or similar.

Cheers & thanks for the assistance.

Or do they share a common data bus from the CCM?

Sounds like you definitely need to get a WD - erWin (not the US site since you are in the UK) is the best place IMHO.

I disagree - CAN from CCM to all four door controllers is alive - all of them show up in autoscan.
OP can check it in 0x46 MVB 017
Also I'd suggest to check MVB 016 - do the CCM receive 30, 15, S and CAN from car correctly.
And MVB's 011, 012, 014, 015 - do the CCM "see" all window lifter switches.
After those observations are done, we can go further with WD analysis to suggest in what circuit problem may be.
BTW this car has one 30A fuse for front power windows, located in single fuse holder at left A-pillar interconnection point and another one 30A fuse for rear ones symmetrically located at right A-pillar.
So it is possible some other wire/circuit common for all four windows is at fault...
Also I suggest to clear all DTC's in CCM and rescan - maybe some actual DTC's may give us an idea where to look, even if they are not directly related to window lifters/lifter control switches ;)

Thanks guys I have sent the guy a message to ask him what was happening with the vehicle and whether he wanted any assistance to take it further, but he hasn't got back to me. I wish he would, as I hate it when threads die with no conclusion.

Thanks for all the help so far, I did check the fuse in the front right of the cabin, at the base of the A Pillar and it was fine. Didn't know that there was one on the other side. If and when he gets back to me, I'll update the post.

Thanks

Check wiring were it runs through drivers door rubber. Very common to break. Also through passenger door
