Disabling self locking if doors not opened after short while from unlocking on a 2005 t5

Can you disable the self locking feature if doors are not opened shortly after unlocking central looking, i have full version of vcds but cannot see the option.

I have never seen such an option in any VAG car either.

I believe their reasoning is to prevent the car from sitting there unlocked for an indefinite period of time if the operated inadvertently presses the Unlock button on the remote, for example while putting it in their pocket. The only solution is to open and close one of the doors. If you do that, the car will not re-lock itself until you press the Lock button.

Do you have the feature where holding down the unlock button will open up the windows? Letting them nudge open a bit might override the timer. Haven't tried it though.

Opening the windows with the remote will not prevent the doors from closing again after a short period of time... You have to open a door to prevent that!
