Hi there,

I have a 2009 Caddy that I'm trying to swap the clocks out. The part number of the clocks I'm trying to fit into the vehicle are 1T0920961A. I'm wondering if any of you guys could help me with the coding process. I do have a wiper stalk with cruise on also. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Those clocks will be too old for your Caddy.

Clocks ending in numbers up to 3 are Immo4A, 4 are 4C. 2009, your Caddy should have 4C.

Pay to post an autoscan anyway, but if you're trying to upgrade them from the really basic ones, you really want to try for ones with a matching end number, and you WILL require some "other tools" for Immo matching.

Hi William,

I switched your forum status to Verified VCDS User and I'll move this from Misc > Forum Support and Feedback to the Retrofits section.

This clocks will work in your Caddy but you will need specialist equipment to code immobiliser in. Not doable with VCDS at all in that age of the van.

I may be wrong but having had a lot of these units apart the immo board is secured to the back of the main board in the cluster, I have in the past swapped the boards from one cluster to another so you can start the vehicle

what I don’t know is if the boards are cross compatible from the earlier to later vans, most people in your situation use the later caddy cluster from 2010 onwards and a 36 to 32 pin adapter cable

the touran cluster suffers from fading in the CID the later cluster is LED and way better

personally I’d go that route

Willsecure, as mentioned earlier, VCDS can't be used to adapt an instrument cluster on your model year Caddy. Not sure if this is allowed to be posted but I have genuine tools that can adapt the cluster, set mileage etc properly, depending where you are in the UK I may be able to help you. PM me if you like?
