Hello i have been havung issues with the tiptronic for about a year as when the PRND is all solid the tiptronic would not work
It wasnt on often so it wasnt a bother. VCDs just gives me the erro code the the tiptronic switch has an implausible signal. Now its pretty much like that all the time. I have seen posts about magnet issues within the shifting column that cause the issue. Not sure of its important or not. The car drives decent for.the most part although therte is jerking around and sputtering at times but not sute if thats related. Any insight would be great. not sure if replacing the tip switch would work or not and not sure.how difficult it is to swap out. Thanks

There is the scan. Notably showing the tiptronic signal issue. I am mostly trying to figure out if the tiptronic error means something is wrong with my transmission in general or just that I cant use the tiptronic which isn't a big deal not being able to drive the car like a manual tranny.

No, the problem isn't with the transmission itself but rather with the shifter and the switch(s) on the right hand side of the gate.

BTW, somehow most of the NewLine characters are missing from your scan. What software did it pass through on the way here?
