Is there a way to test the N82 valve via vagcom?? I have no heat in my Touareg so I'd like to check the valve. I believe it is either the electronic control head or the heater control valve (N82).

There was no code thrown but the valve was not working. I have replaced the valve with a section of heater hose and now I have heat. Seems the valve works in both directions (open and closed) and is working on the bench but must have been stuck in the closed position is the car. I'm not sure if it will come back to life once installed again. I did a scan while the test heater hose was installed and it threw a HVAC code for the heater valve.

So I was wondering if there was a way to test the valve while installed? Via sending a signal to open and then to close. I'm hoping it is not the heater control unit in the console that has failed and not sending the signal to the valve.

You should have a drop-box with a number of things that can be selected. One of them should be "Maximum heat output".

Yep, tested full heat and nothing. Also, there is a test for coolant valve, and it didn't seem to produce heat. So could it be the hvac control panel not sending the info or it is the coolant valve for sure? lol. I just hate buying the wrong part.

I think it's have to trouble-shoot it with a wiring diagram and a meter to make a confident determination.
