Yes please, I can't edit it as it's the only thing in my sig so when I try to click on it try to jump to the broken link!

It'll take a little getting used-to, but I like it overall!

We seem to have lost the ability to quote multiple posts in a reply. I just did it manually with copy and paste. I'm sure it doesn't get used all that often, but it would be a nice-to-have.

Also, while I currently do have a signature in my posts, I can't seem to find a way to edit it anywhere. It's not in my profile/preferences menus anywhere I can find.

I checked your permissions and everything seems to be proper.

Click on your name in the top blue bar. Is there an option there for signature?

Negative

My timer for being able to edit my own posts also became super short, not sure if that's global or just me. Old forum was 24 hours, new is something less than an hour, not sure what.

@Santos : please confirm that there is no way to delete a post on the new platform (by us plebeians) - and also is the "10 minute" rule sacrosanct?

Seems to be a default in the software. Looking for (but have not found) a means of changing that without installing an add-on.

Cool, thanks. I've bumped it up to 1440 minutes (24 hours) for Verified Users and 60 minutes for New Users. Give it a try, y'all.

Excellent! That will be very useful for typos. I checked a post I made yesterday afternoon and edit was available and working

Great, thanks for the feedback. I've now set Distributors even higher (should be 7 days) and I think I see a way to set individual users higher (or even to Unlimited). So if someone wants/needs to edit something they posted a while back, let me know and we'll test that.

Hi guys. I believe Jack, Derek and I are most likely to have complete PL24 PR-Code tables posted here and we found a solution to ugly tables like this after the migration:

No need to edit that old post but you can see the top non-wrapped table is OK (above the FOD image) but the [CODE] tab wrapped table is broken.

I had 2 old ones in the Ref section sub-forum that I wanted to clean up and simply changing CODE to QUOTE fixed them.

I haven't attempted to create a new reply with a PR-Code table so I'll report back here if I have issues.

In other news I have not figured out how to give a single subject to a new post (i.e.01-Engine) yet.

Just for clarity: You mean a subject for a new message within an existing thread?

Exactly. I like to use a new subject for each module when posting baseline maps.

I think you guys (especially Santos it seems ;)) have done an AMAZING job of this.

You've avoided the whole Microsoft Paradigm... where they change stuff seemingly just to create a job for themselves and to piss off all their users!

Honestly, I think this is the fastest major forum upgrade I've been able to adapt myself to - it seems so similar and i don't find myself wishing the old version back - in fact, I hardly remember it at all :D

Well done Ross-Tech Staff: Ewe, Adam, Debbie, Chuck, Steve, and all the others too :p

Thanks for the kind words. There's another forum I frequent that switched from vB4 to XF a few years back, and their switch changed the look and feel so much that for a while, I really did wish the old one back. Of course eventually I got used to it and grew to appreciate XF's features, but I really didn't want to put people through that here, so we tried hard to keep it familiar.

Well done Ross-Tech Staff: Ewe, Adam, Debbie, Chuck, Steve, and all the others too

(That's not quite Negan with his bat, but you get the idea)

:D
