New fake?

Just stumbled over this one on B@anggood.

I already own my genuine dongle which I bought a couple of years ago and I'm very happy with it...

I just wanted to post here to warn potential buyers.

... and also wondering how can they claim it supports latest cars and works with VCDS? Sure it's BS, but reviews are probably leading people to buy it...

A " KKL" is a dumb interface that works with VCDS-Lite on older cars that only communicate via K-Lines.

It's not really a fake at all.

Ross-Tech no longer produce interfaces that work with VCDS-Lite (or VAG-COM 409.1), so they allow generic dumb KKL interfaces to be used.

Correct. We've not made or sold such interfaces since 2004!
