i bought my 05 phaeton at auction and when i got it home we had left trunk open and battery died. i couldnt get it to start after that. ive tried replacing batterys and having them fully charged when doing auto scan . most times i get no response from controller or auto scan goes threw all controllers with nothing coming back at all. i have only got it to ge

Looks like hardly anything is powering up. A defective Kessy Module (05: Acc/Start Auth.) can cause that, but of course so can various power problems. I think you're going to need wiring diagrams and a multimeter.

Welcome to the forum, and welcome to Team Phaeton! We demand to be taken seriously!

Typical faults that might cause these symptoms, on this car, are dead batteries, water intrusion in the driver's footwell causing issues with the keyless entry/start authorization (KESSY) control module, and possibly wiring issues with the electronic steering column lock. Just to make absolutely sure, are *both* batteries fully charged and showing a good voltage level with a multimeter?

Try pressing and holding the brake pedal for >20 seconds before starting the Auto-Scan, and holding it during the scan. That's sort of a backup method of getting CAN bus wakeup when you otherwise have trouble getting the car to go ignition-on.
