Dear forum,

I have issues with my climate regulation (on hot days even hotter air coming out of the nozzles); that's why I bought a VCDS lite license to read out the signal values of the HVAC. Unfortunately I cannot make sense out of the read out values and apparantly there is a problem with the labels, so I do not have any labels. Here is the excerpt from the autoscan:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Address 08: Auto HVAC Labels: Redir Fail!
Controller: 7H2 907 040 C
Component: CLIMAtronic T5 4221
Coding: 0011040
Shop #: WSC 00100
VCID: 282309EFDBEB
1 Fault Found:
01592 - Air Quality Sensor (G238)
010 - Open or Short to Plus
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think this is why VCDS-lite only indicates "Temperature" in measuring blocks 11, 12 and so forth. In measuring blocks 3, 5, and 7 I only have "(no units)".

Sincerely,
Norman

There are indeed no units in those groups. They are raw sensor values.

003 is the flap position data for G469/V262
005 is the flap position data for G468/V261
007 is the flap position data for G220/V158

In each case:
Field 1 is the the learned Open position.
Field 2 is the measured current position
Field 3 is the commanded current position
Field 4 is the learned Closed position

The German version of VCDS has a plain-test label file (7Hx-907-040.lbl, in German), but that label file states it requires VCDS 805 or newer, so chances are good it won't load in VCDS-Lite. However, it might provide answers to additional questions you have regarding this module, and since you live in Switzerland, I'll assume German is not totally alien to you. (If it is, use Google Translate).

Hi Uwe

Thank you for those informations and hints. It took quite a while to find out that I have to search the file in the DRV folder, and somehow the Windows file search has let me down, but finally I found it. With this file and your template file I should be able to get what I need. German language is the least problem, indeed.

Cordially,
Norman
